In a horrifying incident in Karnataka, a 14-year-old boy Mahesh Kolli was murdered, and his body was thrown into the Bhima river in Kalaburagi district. The mistake of this boy was that he is in friendship with a girl who belongs to a peaceful Muslim community.
There were no outrage in Media and no one came to raise a voice against this incident as he did not belong to the minority community, his crime was only being a Hindu.
Kolli Mahesh, a class 9 student was studying at a government school in Naribol, was brutally murdered for making a close friendship with a 14-year-old girl from a neighboring colony in the village.
On February 27 after the villagers recovered a dead body in the Bhima river, later police reached the spot and pulled the dead body. The body was decomposed, Police called his family and they identified the dead body. According to the police, the boy’s nose and genitals were chopped off before he was murdered.
Family Alleges, Killed because of a close relationship with a Muslim girl
The friends of the Mahesh also said that his friend had gifted a mobile phone to the girl. Soon, Mahesh’s father and uncle reached that Muslim girl’s house. The girl returned the mobile phone and went inside. Following this, they gave a missing persons’ complaint to the Jewargi police station.
According to the police investigation, on February 22, the girl’s uncle, named Mehboob, had allegedly whisked the boy away from his village on Monday on the pretext of talking to him.
Five days later, Mahesh’s dead body was found a few kilometers away from the Naribola village.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested Mehboob and two of his partners in connection with the case. Kalaburagi SP Simi Mariam George said they were looking into all angles.
