At Kozhikode airport in Kerala, an AI aircraft flipped onto the runway. Due to which the plane crashed and broke into two parts on the runway. The plane was coming from Dubai, carrying 189 passengers. Many people have been injured in this accident. At the same time, both the pilots died in the accident.
According to DGCA, Air India Express AXB1344, Boeing 737 was coming from Dubai to Calicut. There were 189 passengers on the plane. After landing on the runway due to heavy rain, the aircraft slipped and fell into the valley. At the same time, the aircraft broke into two. The aircraft had 189 passengers and 6 crew members. These included 10 children as well.
According to DGCA, 170 people are safe in the accident. At the same time, both pilots have also died. The cabin crew is safe. Regarding the incident, Air India Express says that a total of 15 people have died so far. At the same time, all the people have been pulled out of the rubble.
The Chief Minister’s Office of Kerala said that PM Narendra Modi has spoken to Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan over the phone regarding the plane crash. The CM told the PM that a team of officials including Kozhikode and Malappuram District Collector and IG Ashok Yadav have reached the airport and rescue operations are on.
