According to ISRO’s trusted sources, Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram Lander has the technology that it can stand on its own even after its fall, but it is necessary for it to contact its communication system and receive commands.
ISRO is still not disappointed with the fall of Vikram Lander on the lunar surface. It is a different matter that Vikram Lander has fallen on the moon land about 500 meters away from his fixed place, but if contact is established then he can stand back on his feet. According to ISRO’s trusted sources, Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram Lander has the technology that it can stand on its own even after its fall, but it is necessary for it to contact its communication system and receive commands.
Vikram Lander has an onboard computer. It can do many things by itself. With the fall of Vikram Lander, that antenna has been suppressed through which command could be sent to the communication system. Right now ISRO scientists are trying to somehow command Vikram Lander to stand back on his feet through that antenna. Now you must be wondering how the fallen Vikram lander will stand on its own. Will someone pick him up there?
Let’s know how Vikram Lander will stand on his feet
ISRO sources said that there are five thrusters on the underside of Vikram Lander. Through which it had to make a soft landing on the surface of the moon. Apart from this, thrusters are also installed around the Vikram Lander, which were turned on to decide its direction while traveling in space. These thrusters are still safe. The part of the lander where the communication antenna is pressed, There are thrusters in the same part too. If the command sent from the ground station located on the earth is received directly or through the orbiter by the buried antenna, its thrusters can be turned on. When the thrusters are turned on, Vikram can rise from one side and stand on his feet. If this happens, all the experiments related to this mission will be possible, which ISRO scientists had already decided about Chandrayaan-2.
