    FF14 Beginner’s Guide

Here, you will find many tips and tricks for your starting journey.

    Making Your Character

Like any other MMORPG out in the gaming market, you start the journey by building your first character. In Final Fantasy XIV, you’ll pick one between eight playable races available. However, unlike World of Warcraft, picking a Race doesn’t have too much of an impact. They have different stats, but the numbers aren’t that meaningful.

As a result, pick the Race that you find more appealing and jump into the virtual world of Final Fantasy XIV.

    Classes and Jobs

When making a new character, you can pick a “Class.” After you gather enough levels (30), you opt to choose a “Job.” In other words, you get the standard abilities from the Class, but you enclose an archetype after you pick a Job.

For example, if you pick an Archer (a class that focuses on using a bow and long-distance damage), you can transform it into a Bard (job) and get additional features like playing songs to improve the performance of your party.

    Improving the In-Game Settings

After you complete the character creation, you will begin a new journey inside Final Fantasy XIV. In your first playthrough hours, we recommend you experiment with the interface and get familiar with the settings.

However, in this Beginner’s Guide, we recommend you improve the keybindings and move things (like the spell bars) around. If you already have experience in other MMOs, you can similarly place everything in your hub.

Focus on the Main Scenario Quest

From the start, you can spend your gaming sessions as you’d like inside Final Fantasy XIV. For example, you can walk around the virtual cities and experience the scenery. On the other hand, you can find the closest monsters and try the combat system.

Above all, if you want to spend the time as optimally as possible, you could look and stick to the Main Quest lines. These sets of tasks will grant you more experience points and Gil (the in-game currency) after you complete them.

Keep an Eye on the Job Quests

Unlike the previous step from this Beginner’s Guide, these options will help you improve your character a little. Some rewards will give you extra abilities, which tend to assist you in battle.

Inside the overall hub (top-left), you can see a list of the current Job Quests below the Main Scenario Quests. After you click an option, you will get directions for those principal tasks.

Always Click on the “Recommended Equipment” Button

When you gather enough loot, you can ask the video game to improve your character and skip some headaches. It doesn’t matter what class or job; you will have the best options from your inventory.

    Keep the Conditions High

Inside any equipment, you will find the “condition” percentage. To keep that piece optimal (at 100%), you need to repair it with the assistance of the city vendors.

    Buy XIV Gil

As you make your way to the “end-game,” you’ll notice how reliable the Gil tends to appear inside Final Fantasy XIV. Luckily, you can Buy FFXIV Gil and improve your starting point. Hence, you will have less trouble when you reach the highest levels.
