wo pal ke jis mein mohabbat jawaan hotee hain
us ik pal kaa tujhe intazar hai ke naheen
teri umeed pe thukaraa rahaa hoo duniya ko
tujhe bhee app ne pe ye ayetabaar hain ke naheen
4. insāñ kī ḳhvāhishoñ kī koī intihā nahīñ,
do gaz zamīñ bhī chāhiye do gaz kafan ke baa
6. muddat ke ba.ad us ne jo kī lutf kī nigāh
jī ḳhush to ho gayā magar aañsū nikal paḌe
7. jis tarah hañs rahā huuñ maiñ pī pī ke garm ashk
yuuñ dūsrā hañse to kaleja nikal paḌe
8. itnā to zindagī meñ kisī ke ḳhalal paḌe
hañsne se ho sukūn na rone se kal paḌe
9. bahār aa.e to merā salām kah denā
mujhe to aaj talab kar liyā hai sahrā ne
