Since the new Motor Vehicle Act came into force, the challans of vehicles are being cut. Many times the amount of challan is so high that people are surprised. Now the latest case is from Sambalpur in Odisha, where a challan of 6 lakh 53 thousand 100 rupees of a truck has been cut. This truck belongs to Nagaland. The truck owner did not pay tax from July 2014 to September 2019. Also, the truck did not have a permit, pollution certificate and insurance.

Odisha: A truck owner from Nagaland was fined and issued challan of Rs 6,53,100 in Sambalpur, on August 10 for not paying taxes from July 2014 to September 2019, for not having permit, and for other offences. pic.twitter.com/sQ6dN2CwRp

The owner of the truck is Shailesh Shankar Lal Gupta. He hails from Nagaland. Earlier, a challan of Rs 2 lakh 500 was deducted for a truck in Delhi. After this, a truck driver named Ram Kishan had to fill an invoice of Rs 2 lakh 5 hundred as fine. This truck was challaned on Wednesday night. It is being told that this truck was going from Mukarba Chowk in Delhi towards Bhalaswa on Wednesday night. The truck was full of sand. This truck was invoiced due to overloading. After this, the challan was submitted to the Rohini court on Thursday.

Under the new law, the amount of penalty has been increased by about 10 times for violating traffic rules. The new law has come into effect from September 1. After the enactment of these laws, more than the cost of vehicles, the challan of vehicles was cut. There is a lot of resentment among people about this. In view of the displeasure of the common people, many states have also opposed the new Motor Vehicle Act.
