If you are going to set up a mini bar at your home in Uttar Pradesh, stop!! you might fall in legal trouble.
The Adityanath Government of Uttar Pradesh restructured the Excise scheme. As per the new rules, if residents of UP want to store the Alcohol more than the allowed quantity (1.5litre) they have to take the license from the excise department. For this, the license fee will be ₹12000 per year and the security amount of ₹ 51000.
If anyone stores the liquor without a license, legal action can be taken against him. Only the person who is filing the Income-tax return for 5 years able to apply for the license. ITR receipt, Copy of the Pan Card, and Aadhar card need to be submitted along with the application form.
A person below 21 years will not be allowed to enter the place where the liquor will store. An affidavit of the same required while applying for the license.
The license of the Desi, Imported, Beer, or wine shops will be renewed. The government increased the license fee by 7.5% for all model and retail shops.
Well this is shocking if someone is fond of making a mini Bar at home or wants to store the liquor for functions.
